Applying keyboard layout stickers is an easy process that should take you around 15 – 20 minutes. Follow the steps below to help ensure you apply your keyboard stickers correctly, prolonging their lifespan.
Here’s what you will need:
- Dilute Isopropyl (Rubbing) Alcohol or another plastic-safe grease-removal product.
- A microfibre cloth
- Your keyboard and sticker sheet from The Keyboard Sticker Shop
Step 1 – Clean your keyboard well.
Dab a small microfibre cloth into a dilute solution of (in this case 100%) isopropyl rubbing alcohol (2 parts water, 1 part alcohol), and gently wipe each individual key you want to place a sticker on. You should always read the label on your bottle of alcohol, or other grease-removal solution to find the safe ratio of water to alcohol for usage on plastic.
Step 2 – Peel and place your keyboard stickers.
Unpack your keyboard sticker sheet and peel/place the keys individually, being careful not to shift or manipulate the stickers once they’ve been placed. To help with even placement, place one side of the sticker down first – making sure it is square with the key – before gently lowering, and then pressing it onto the key fully.
Step 3 – Well, there is no step 3. You’re done!
So, so beautiful.
